Here is how my binding process works:

• You send in the proper amount of quilting cotton fabric for binding your quilt. This chart, by Geeky Bobbin, is a great way to find your binding fabric measurement needs.

• I will hand cut the proper amount of 2.5” straight grain binding strips for your quilt. I will then join all of those strips with mitered seams for the least amount of bulk. Then press in half to make double fold binding ready to attach.

• I trim and square your quilt at the quilt top edge only. This means that if your quilt has any details such at star points at the edge of your quilt they may get “cut off” by some of the binding.

• I will miter finish all 4 corners.

  There are 4 different binding services I offer:

• Front Only Binding Prep- I make and attach your binding to the front of your quilt only. This allows for you to hand stitch the final binding down yourself. $0.15/ linear inch

• Machine Stitch Binding- I make and attach your binding. Then machine stitch your final binding onto the front of your quilt with the best blending thread color. $0.20/ linear inch

• Invisible Hand Stitch Binding- I make and attach your binding. Then hand stitch your final binding onto the back of your quilt with blending thread for an almost invisible finish. $0.30/linear inch

• Big Stitch Binding- I make and attaching your binding. Then using the Big Stitch Binding method, I hand stitch down the binding using Perle Cotton Thread for a charming, finished edge. $0.30/linear inch
